UFC 322: 28-fight veteran faces rising prospect on Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev card

28-fight strawweight veteran Angela Hill has her next assignment as she faces Fatima Kline, who is one of the top up and coming prospects in the division, at the upcoming UFC 322 card in New York on Nov. 15 from Madison Square Garden.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday. MMA Junkie initially reported the news.

Hill enters the fight with hopes of returning to the win column following a unanimous decision loss to Iasmin Lucindo in her previous outing back in August. Overall, Hill sports a 3-2 record in her past five fights, which includes victories over Ketlen Souza and Luana Pinheiro.

As for Kline, she looks to build on an impressive two-fight win streak that includes knockout finishes over both Melissa Martinez and Victoria Dudakova. Kline bounced back from her only loss in the octagon when she fell to Jasmine Jasudavicius in her debut, which came on short notice, but she’s proven herself with her two most recent wins in the UFC.

Hill vs. Kline joins a growing lineup headed to New York City with the main event pitting welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena against former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev as he moves up to 170 pounds for the first time in the UFC.

The card also features a women’s flyweight title fight as reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko defends her belt against Zhang Weili, who relinquished her strawweight title to move up to 125 pounds in an attempt to become a two-division champion.
