UFC Fight Night 258 on Saturday was the promotion’s return to Paris after a year away, and the fighters indeed lit up the “City of Lights.”
The first seven fights at Accor Arena were stoppages. The first decision didn’t come until the opening fight on the main card – after analyst Michael Bisping delivered an all-time jinx moment when he said the prelims had the card set up to contend for the greatest event in UFC history. Then, what do ya know – instant decision after seven straight stoppages.
But alas, UFC Paris recovered and went on to a record-tying 11 finishes in 13 fights. Included in those finishes were nine knockouts and TKOs – which set a new UFC record. That made picking bonus winners a challenge, but left the fans in France buzzing. Plus, the place was on fire thanks to a 5-0 night from French fighters.
Check out all the stoppages from Paris in the video above.
