Scotland’s one-day international against hosts Canada was abandoned without a ball being bowled, because of softness on one particular area of the pitch.
The toss was delayed at King City in Ontario after concerns were raised over the damp patch.
Despite minimal rain in the hours and days preceding the match, the match was called off after six separate pitch inspections.
It is the second Scotland fixture to fall victim to conditions in King City during this leg of World Cup League 2, following their game against Namibia on 29 August.
Coach Doug Watson’s side return to Scotland top of the standings despite frustrations over the pitch conditions in Ontario.
They have won 13 of their 24 matches, with seven defeats and four no-results.
