A Bantamweight banger is locked in for UFC Qatar.
Aleksandre Topuria — the older brother of reigning UFC Featherweight champion Ilia Topuria — will make his sophomore Octagon appearance against Bekzat Almakhan at UFC Qatar on Nov. 22, 2025, inside Ali Bin Hamad al-Attiyah Arena in Doha, Qatar. MARCA was first to report the matchup.
Topuria (6-1) made his promotional debut earlier this year at UFC 312 against fellow newcomer Colby Thicknesse. It was a hard-fought battle, but “El Conquistador” did enough to earn a unanimous decision win and extend his current win streak to four. Topuria unfortunately snapped his 100 percent finish rate in his last outing, but still has five finishes to his name.
While he lost his UFC debut to Umar Nurmagomedov via a competitive unanimous decision, Almakhan (12-2) rebounded in a big way, knocking out former TUF winner Brad Katona in brutal fashion (watch highlights). Not only was Almakhan the first man to stop Katona, but he also sent him packing from the promotion. With 10 knockouts on his record and a 93 percent finish rate overall, Almakhan is a serious test for any prospect.
