Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is leaving Nike to sign with Fabletics, an apparel company for which comedian Kevin Hart is an investor, per a report from Jordan Schultz.
Chase would become the first NFL star to partner with the brand. He was seen in Nike ads as recently as March of this year and had been with Nike for at least the past year.
In March, Chase signed a four-year contract extension with the Bengals worth $161 million, averaging $40.25 million per year, which was the highest salary for a non-quarterback at the time of signing. Chase was named first team All-Pro last season and made his fourth Pro Bowl appearance in four years. He led the league with 127 receptions, 1,708 receiving yards and 17 touchdowns. Chase also averaged 100.5 receiving yards per game and accumulated 787 yards after catch, both of which led the NFL.

The Bengals drafted Chase fifth overall in 2021 out of LSU.
Fabletics was co-founded in 2013 by Don Ressler and Adam Goldenberg, with actress and entrepreneur Kate Hudson becoming an equity owner in 2015. Hart has his own line called “The Kevin Hart Shop” under the Fabletics umbrella, and until now, the brand has largely partnered with celebrities like Khloe Kardashian and Demi Lovato.
