Raul Rosas Jr. was forced to withdraw from the upcoming UFC Noche 3 card, scheduled for Sat., Sept. 13, 2025 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas (not Guadalajara, Mexico). As a result, bantamweight veteran Rob Font will now fight “Contender Series” standout David Martinez in the “Lone Star State” co-main event.
“As much as I wanted this fight to prove myself against the best in the world, I won’t be able to make it,” Rosas Jr. wrote on Instagram. “Injured my rib in training when I had someone on my back with a locked body triangle. I was trying to escape by spinning away and pulled it. I tried to push through it but didn’t heal and won’t fully heal in time.”
“Barely starting to get back into normal training so hopefully I’ll be back soon,” Rosas Jr. continued. “Can’t wait to be back and earn my spot again against a Top 15 [opponent]. Working my way up. Looking to heal soon and step back in the cage two more times this year.”
UFC Noche 3 will be headlined by the featherweight showdown between bitter rivals Diego Lopes and Jean Silva. Elsewhere on the card, Jared Gordon and Rafa Garcia hook ‘em up at lightweight, not long after Jose Medina and Dusko Todorovic collide at 185 pounds.
