Dillon Danis steamrolls Warren Spencer in 15 seconds to win Misfits MMA title, teases Eddie Hall fight

Like it or not, Dillon Danis can finally call himself an MMA champion.

The polarizing grappler made short work of MMA newcomer Warren Spencer on Saturday at Misfits Boxing 22, capturing the inaugural Misfits MMA light heavyweight title with a 15-second submission win at the AO Arena in Manchester, England.

The bout marked Danis’ first MMA fight since 2019.

Afterward, Danis appeared to make an agreement with English strongman Eddie Hall for a potential matchup.

“I’ll get under 300 pounds for you,” Hall said in the ring.

“Alright, we have a deal,” Danis said, before also calling out UFC pound-for-pound star Islam Makhachev and Misfits Boxing co-founder KSI.

A jiu-jitsu black belt, Danis (3-0) wasted little time going straight to his strengths on Saturday, locking into an early clinch with the debuting Spencer (0-1), then easily taking the English influencer down and securing the fight-ending guillotine choke from the mount position, prompting a quick tap.

Danis, 32, rose to notoriety as a grappling specialist and training partner of former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor, however his combat sports career stalled in recent years. Danis scored a pair of first-round submissions under the Bellator banner in 2018-19, but then didn’t compete again until a bizarre 2023 boxing match against Logan Paul that ended in a disqualification loss for Danis.

Danis then saw two scheduled fights fall apart in early 2025 — an MMA bout against Tony Ferguson for the ill-fated Global Fight League and a Misfits Boxing match against British influencer KSI.
