DBX 3 video: Jairzinho Rozenstruik gets quick KO to win inaugural heavyweight title

MIAMI – Jairzinho Rozenstruik is the inaugural Dirty Boxing Championship heavyweight champion.

Rozenstruik quickly dispatched Rakim Cleveland in the main event of DBX 3 to continue his unbeaten run in dirty boxing and win their inaugural heavyweight title. Rozenstruik viciously knocked out Cleveland at the 1:54 mark of Round 1. It was a dominant and comfortable win for the former UFC heavyweight contender.

This is Rozenstruik’s second win in DBX. In his promotional debut, which was his first fight since his release from the UFC, Rozenstruik defeated Victor Cardoso by second-round TKO. He was originally expected to take on Rob Perez, but Perez withdrew from the bout due to injury and was replaced by Cleveland.

Rozenstruik is a combat sports veteran, having had a lengthy career in kickboxing and MMA. He competed in the UFC for six years, headlining six events and picking up eight stoppage wins. His UFC release caught many by surprise as he was on a two-fight winning streak before losing to top contender Sergei Pavlovich by decision in February.
