Mayra Bueno Silva and Jacqueline Cavalcanti will face off when the UFC returns to Las Vegas for a Fight Night card on Nov. 8, multiple people with knowledge of the booking confirmed to MMA Fighting. Ag. Fight first reported the news.
The UFC has yet to officially announce the card and it’s headlining attraction.
Silva (10-5-1, 1 no0contest) returns to action after withdrawing from a bout with Joselyne Edwards earlier this month. “Sheetara” hasn’t won since February 2023, when she tapped Lina Lansberg.
Silva’s following match was a submission win over Holly Holm, later overturned to a no-contest due to a doping suspension. Silva was still awarded a shot at the vacant belt, losing a decision to Raquel Pennington.
The Brazilian veteran left the bantamweight division after a TKO defeat to Macy Chiasson and dropped a decision against flyweight talent Jasmine Jasudavicius this past February.
Cavalcanti (9-1), born in Brazil but raised in Portugal, has won four in a row since joining the UFC in 2023, beating Zarah Fairn, Josiane Nunes, Nora Cornolle and Julia Avila. The former LFA champion is currently riding a seven-fight winning streak.
