Former University of Alabama golfer returns to United States Ryder Cup team

Justin Thomas is back on the United States’ Ryder Cup team.

The former University of Alabama golfer will participate in his fourth-straight Ryder Cup as a part of Team USA along with Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schayuffele, Russell Henley, Harris English, Bryson DeChambeau, Sam Burns, Ben Griffin, Patrick Cantlay, Cam Young and Collin Morikawa.

Thomas participated in the Ryder Cup in 2018, 2021 and 2023. He and the United States team won the Ryder Cup in 2021.

Thomas was the PGA Player of the Year in 2017 and 2020, and the PGA Tour Player of the Year in 2016-17. He won a PGA Championship in 2017 and 2022.

At Alabama, Thomas won the Haskins Award and the Jack Nicklaus Award as the best collegiate golfer in 2012 and was the first Alabama freshman to secure these awards. He also won a national championship with the Crimson Tide.

The Ryder Cup will run Sept. 26-28 in Farmingdale, New York, and will be broadcast on NBC, Golf Channel and USA Network.
