The United States rosters for the 2025 World Amateur Team Championships have been set.
The USGA announced Tuesday the three men and three women who will don the red, white and blue in Singapore come October, featuring both the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur champions.
On the men’s side, Mason Howell, the high school senior who captured the Havemeyer Trophy earlier this month at The Olympic Club, will join Oklahoma State teammate Ethan Fang and Preston Stout on the men’s side. For the women, U.S. Women’s Amateur champ Megha Ganne will team with world No. 1 Kiara Romero and Farah O’Keefe.
Both U.S. teams competing in Singapore at Tanah Merah Country Club (Tampines Course) will be coached by Chris Zambri, who is the head coach of the U.S. National Development Program.
“It is an honor to be the head coach of these two outstanding teams,” Zambri said. “This country boasts an incredible depth of golf talent, and I look forward to seeing how our teams stack up against the world’s best.”
The World Amateur Team Championships are biennial international amateur golf competitions conducted by the International Golf Federation, consisting of 72 holes of stroke play (18 holes a day over four days). In each round, the total of the two lowest scores by the three players from each team constitutes the team score for that round. The four-day total is the team’s score for the championship.
The women’s competition is set for Oct. 1-4 with the men to follow Oct. 8-11.
The men compete for the Eisenhower Trophy while the women battle for the Espirito Santo Trophy. In 2023 at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, the Republic of Korea won the nation’s fourth Espirito Santo Trophy while the U.S. captured the Eisenhower Trophy for the 14th time.
The alternates for the men will be Tommy Morrison and Miles Russell. For the women, it’ll be Catherine Park and Anna Davis.
