Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has requested a trade, NFL Network reports.
The Raiders have no plans to honor the request, according to the report. Meyers and the Raiders have failed to agree to terms of a new contract this offseason.

Meyers, 28, was the Raiders’ leading wide receiver in 2024, tallying 87 catches for 1,027 yards and four touchdowns. News of the trade request breaks less than two weeks before the Raiders are scheduled to open their season on Sept. 7 against the New England Patriots.
The news is a potential blow for the Raiders as they start their season with a new coaching staff and a retooled offense. Under first-year head coach Pete Carroll, the Raiders will feature Geno Smith at quarterback and electric rookie Ahston Jeanty at running back.
As long as he plays, Meyers projects as Las Vegas’ No. 1 wide receiver again as part of a dual-threat pass-catching tandem alongside All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers. It’s not clear from the report if Meyers intends to hold out or miss games if his request is not granted.
Meyers has one year remaining on a three-year, $33 million deal and is slated to become a free agent in 2026 without an extension. He signed the contract prior to the 2023 season as a free agent from the New England Patriots. He’s excelled in hit two seasons with the Raiders and tallied career highs in receptions and yards last season.

Since signing his contract, the wide receiver market as escalated with several of the league’s top receivers signing contracts valued at $30-plus million per season. Meyers is in that tier of receivers, but he’s outplayed the $11 million average annual value of his deal and would command considerably more money on the open market.
