Nashville Predators Recall Ozzy Wiesblatt from AHL Milwaukee, Reassign Kieffer Bellows

According to the AHL Transactions page, the Nashville Predators have recalled forward Ozzy Wiesblatt from the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. Additionally, the team has reassigned forward Kieffer Bellows to Milwaukee.

Bellows made his Predators debut on Feb. 25 against the Florida Panthers and has appeared in five total games for Nashville this season, averaging 10:55 of ice time with seven shots and 10 hits. He is tied for fifth on the Admirals in points with 29 (14 goals, 15 assists) in 41 games this season.

Wiesblatt made his NHL debut with Nashville on Jan. 3 at Vancouver and has appeared in three total games for the Predators this season, averaging 11:10 of ice time. He ranks third on the Admirals in points with 32 (14 goals, 18 assists) and his 14 goals are tied with Bellows and Jake Lucchini (also currently with Nashville) for the team lead in Milwaukee.

Originally selected in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft (No. 31 overall) by the San Jose Sharks, Wiesblatt was traded to the Predators in exchange for forward Egor Afanasyev last summer.

The Predators are set to take on the Seattle Kraken Thursday at 7 p.m. CT at Bridgestone Arena.
