The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Jacob Julien to a three-year, entry-level contract.
On Thursday morning, the Jets made the announcement of the signing with their 2023 fifth round pick (146th overall) to a standard prospect agreement worth an annual average value of $925K at the NHL level.
Julien, 20, is currently in his third season with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights, his hometown team. Serving as an alternate captain, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound centreman has produced 10 goals, 40 points and 48 penalty minutes in 58 games for the league-leading Knights.
Last season he had 29 goals, 78 points and 53 penalty minutes in 67 games for London, before putting up another 13 points in the postseason, to which the Knights earned the OHL championship and later the Memorial Cup.
Julien is up to 48 goals, 91 assists and 139 points in 165 career OHL games.
