On Tuesday night, Calgary Flames defenseman Kevin Bahl skated in his 200th NHL game. The 24-year-old from New Westminster, BC, becomes the latest skater on this year’s team to reach a milestone game, following Connor Zary and Blake Coleman.
Initially drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the second round (55th overall), Bahl was traded to the New Jersey Devils in December 2019 in exchange for Taylor Hall.
He made his NHL debut on Apr. 29, 2021 against the Philadelphia Flyers, the same team he skates game No. 200 against. After parts of four seasons with the Devils, Bahl relocated to Calgary in the Jacob Markström trade in June 2024.
The pending restricted free agent has played 51 games this season, scoring two goals and 15 points. He’s missed some time with an upper body injury but has already tied a career high in goals and set a new personal best in points.
