The NHL has announced that both Sean Monahan and Zach Werenski of the Columbus Blue Jackets will be a part of Season 2 of Prime’s FACEOFF: Inside the NHL.
Monahan and Werenski join Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators and Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes, who were already announced as features on the show.
Inside the NHL is coming off a great first season that featured stars like Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander, Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak, Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg, Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel, Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk, Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman, Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog, Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes, and New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.
Season 2 of Inside the NHL will likely follow Werenski’s historic home point streak and his run at the 4-Nations Face-Off Tournament. As for Monahan, his episode will most likely be gut-wrenching. With his friendship with the late Johnny Gaudreau and the tragic accident that occurred, it will make for a very sad, heartbreaking storyline surrounding Monahan.
The Prime series is returning with a six-episode season, and while there isn’t a premiere date yet, you can expect it to be just before the 2025-26 NHL season.
