The two biggest names in TGL might be sitting at home when the tech-driven playoffs start

The TGL is season is winding down, and the first SoFi Cup playoffs are on the horizon. But will the headliners and league co-founders be sitting at home when the postseason begins?

Tomorrow’s Golf League has six regular-season matches remaining, with a Monday double-header followed by a Tuesday match scheduled for each of the next two weeks. The top four finishers in the six-team league will then advance to the postseason.

Heading into the matches Monday, Feb. 24, the TGL standings have these four teams on the good side:

  • The Bay Golf Club

  • Los Angeles Golf Club

  • Atlanta Drive GC

  • New York Golf Club

These two teams are currently on the outside looking in:

  • Jupiter Links GC

  • Boston Common Golf

TGL backers Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy might miss playoffs

As things currently stand, the two headliners of TGL – co-founders Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy – would not be in the postseason. Tiger’s Jupiter Golf Links are in fifth place while Rory’s Boston Common squad is bringing up the rear in the new tech-driven league.

Woods is not scheduled to be in the lineup for Tuesday’s match against The Bay Golf Club.

What is the TGL playoff schedule?

The inaugural TGL playoffs start March 17. Fans can register for tickets using an online form.

The semifinal matches will be Monday, March 17 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN2) and Tuesday, March 18 (7 p.m. ET, ESPN).

The best-of-three Finals Series schedule:

  • Match 1: Monday, March 24, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN2

  • Match 2: Tuesday, March 25, 7 p.m. ET, ESPN

  • Match 3: Tuesday, March 25, 9 p.m. ET, ESPN (if necessary)
