The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned defenseman Louis Crevier to the Rockford IceHogs, the team announced Saturday.
Drafted by the Blackhawks in the seventh round of the 2020 NHL Draft, Crevier has split time this season between both the AHL and NHL. In 23 NHL games with the Blackhawks, Crevier has scored three goals and collected four points while putting up two points in 12 games with the IceHogs.
Since turning pro in 2022, Crevier has played in 47 career NHL regular season games, putting up three goals and four assists for seven points. Before making the jump, the product of Quebec, Que., played his junior hockey in the QMJHL with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens and the Quebec Remparts.
Although Crevier was optioned to Rockford, he has established himself as a part of the future in Chicago. Standing at 6-foot-8, Crevier knows how to use his size effectively and can make a difference at both ends of the ice. As a former seventh round pick, Crevier is already a success story for the Blackhawks.
