The Minnesota Wild have claimed for Vinnie Hinostroza off waivers from the Nashville Predators.
Hinostroza was leading the AHL in scoring with 11 goals and 33 points in 26 games with the Milwaukee Admirals when he was recalled on Dec. 28.
The 30-year-old picked up two assists in 13 games with the Predators while averaging 11:32 of ice time per game.
The Chicago, Ill., native is in the first year of a two-year contract he signed with Nashville in July that pays him $775,000 annually.
With an injury to Jakub Lauko and 10-game suspension to Ryan Hartman, Hinostroza should have the opportunity to play decent minutes role for the cash-strapped Wild.
Hinostroza has put up good numbers in the AHL his entire career, including 35 points in 42 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last season.
In the NHL he put up a career-high 39 points in 72 games with the Arizona Coyotes in 2018-19.
