Jets 2025 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Options galore for needy New York at No. 7

After going through an extensive search following their separation from GM Joe Douglas, the Jets decided to take a shot on assistant GM Darren Mougey from the Denver Broncos.

Mougey held various positions during his journey through the organization, and he now comes to the Big Apple, where he’ll be tasked with helping turn around a squad that finished 5-12 last season and hasn’t made the playoffs in 14 years.

One of his first tasks to tackle – the NFL Draft.

After another rough season, Gang Green currently holds the seventh overall pick in the 2025 edition of the draft.

Here’s what the experts have them doing…

Eric Edholm, NFL.com

QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

I’m not buying the “Sanders at No. 1” talk, and I thought about sliding him down further (to the Steelers?), but then I remembered the Jets don’t really have a QB. Maybe it doesn’t happen, but this pairing would be … interesting.

OT Will Campbell, LSU

Olu Fashanu replaced Tyron Smith at left tackle, and the thought here is that Campbell replaces Morgan Moses at right tackle. New York obviously has a quarterback situation to figure out this offseason as well.

DT Mason Graham, Michigan

The Jets have a lot of uncertainty with Aaron Rodgers heading into next season but one thing is certain, they need to rebuild their defensive line which took a massive dropoff from 2023 to 2024. The Jets hired a defensive-minded head coach in Aaron Glenn and he will want to rebuild that defensive front. Graham had an incredible national championship-winning career at Michigan and would be an immediate difference-maker for the Jets.

DT Mason Graham, Michigan

Not sure we can rule out a top-five spot for Graham. He’s clearly the top interior tackle in this class and the type of versatile difference-maker inside (at age 21) every team covets. He can play in any scheme, inside or out, and he will absolutely help a team’s culture. The Jets could use all of that.

OT Will Campbell, LSU

Building up the trenches is a part of the Jets’ plan to compete with the AFC’s heavyweights. Campbell is a rock-solid offensive tackle prospect with the size, strength and skill to dominate on the edges from Day 1.

Chris Trapasso, CBS Sports

WR Tetaiora McMillan, Arizona

Another playmaking talent for whoever is playing quarterback for the Jets in 2025 and beyond. McMillan is a lot like Drake London on the field.

Joe DeLeone, Pro Football Network

S Malaki Starks, Georgia

Although the Jets’ defense is already very talented, they could use a boost to their secondary. Starks is a fluid, lockdown player in man coverage who can be deployed as a multi-use weapon by first-year head coach Aaron Glenn.
