Sussex have signed overseas seamer Gurinder Sandhu for June and July during the 2025 campaign.

Sandhu comes in as additional cover for the county due to a change of availability of Jaydev Unadkat, who had signed a new two-year deal with the club in October but is now only available for the final three red-ball games in September.

Sandhu 31, will be available for four County Championship games as well as the T20 Blast if required.

The Australian has taken 151 wickets in 55 first-class matches across his career and is most recently played for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League.

“He will add real skill and experience to our bowling attack for those games,” said Sussex head coach Paul Farbrace.

“He is a vastly experienced performer and is very skillful with the ball. The fact that all four games are being played with a Kookaburra ball means he will be very comfortable with that type of ball.”
