The Boston Bruins will play the Winnipeg Jets on Jan. 30. They will look to bounce back after losing their last game to the Buffalo Sabres by an ugly 7-2 final score.

Based on the Bruins’ morning skate lines, Elias Lindholm is expected to return to the club’s top six. This is after he spent the last handful of games as Boston’s third-line center.
Lindholm, 30, has not had the hottest start with the Bruins since signing his seven-year, $54.25 million contract this off-season. In 52 games, he has eight goals, 17 assists, and a minus-6 rating. His low offensive production naturally played a role in his demotion to the 3C role.
Yet, now that Lindholm is being put back up to Boston’s top six, he has a golden chance to show the Bruins that he is deserving of a prominent role. If he makes a positive impression against the Jets, it will help his case to stay on a line with Brad Marchand and Charlie Coyle.
It will be intriguing to see what Lindholm does in his return to the Bruins’ top six from here, but there is no question that he has a great opportunity to make a statement.
