Workington Town set up a Challenge Cup third-round meeting with 2023 winners Leigh Leopards with a comfortable win over the Royal Navy in Portsmouth.

Jonny Hutton scored a hat-trick for the Cumbrians and Rio Corkill contributed two as they ran in 11 tries against the services side.

Ollie Brookes notched four tries – his first professional hat-trick – as North Wales Crusaders booked a place in the next round by thrashing Cornwall 52-0 in Penryn.

In difficult conditions at the Memorial Ground, Crusaders took control early on against their fellow League One side, who made seven signings in the run-up to the game.

Kieran Taylor also bagged a treble as Crusaders set up a home tie against either Widnes Vikings or Rochdale Hornets, both also former winners of the competition.

Five tries from winger Mo Agoro and doubles by Kieran Dixon and Iain Thornley helped Oldham to eased through with a 60-10 victory over National Conference side Rochdale Mayfield.
