Here’s today’s NHL Nugget – this Milestone Monday heads back to Jan. 20, 2003, with Patrick Roy in net for the Colorado Avalanche against the Dallas Stars.
While the game ended in a 1-1 tie, Roy’s milestone game set a new mark that only some of the best goalies in recent NHL history have ever reached. Not bad for the Stanley Cup champion with the Montreal Canadiens and Avalanche.
