The Jets enter the 2025 NFL Draft with the No. 7 pick.
After a 5-12 season, how will New York use its first-round selection?
Here’s what the experts have the Jets doing.
DT Mason Graham, Michigan
The Jets could go so many different directions here. Offensive line, sure. They need a right tackle. They could also go receiver if they let Davante Adams and Allen Lazard go (Luther Burden, Emeka Egbuka). They, too, could look at a quarterback and have him sit and develop behind Tyrod Taylor for a season.
DT Mason Graham, Michigan
Mason Graham is too talented for the Jets to pass on here, and he’d help New York get back to the elite-level defense it had for a long stretch before the 2024 season.

The Jets are another team that feels in limbo because of question marks at quarterback. But the roster has plenty of other needs, as well, including on the defensive line. Graham isn’t super long, but he’ll have a high floor in the NFL because he knows how to deconstruct blocks and be a factor against the run or pass.

There’s still so much to be determined for this woebegone organization when it comes to the coach, GM and quarterback. So for now, we’ll go best player on the board and predict that the Jets pair Graham with Quinnen Williams to form the best interior run defense in the league. Also softens the blow of losing D.J. Reed at CB in free agency.

The Jets will put quarterback on their radar as they see what happens with Aaron Rodgers, but if he stays put, getting someone to help Quinnen Williams would be smart. Graham is can’t-miss with his power, energy, and explosiveness.
EDGE Abdul Carter, Penn State
Haason Reddick has his issues, so the Jets may decide to add another edge rusher to further enhance the defense.
Abdul Carter has been described as a missile as a pass rusher.
