The defensemen and goaltender nominees for the men’s and women’s Team of the Year in NHL 25 have been announced.
Team of the Year is the most popular event in Hockey Ultimate Team and is a way to highlight the best players of the 2024 year. The event will go live in HUT on Jan. 24 and run through Feb. 7.

Team of the Year consists of two teams, one men’s team and one women’s team. Each team has three forwards, two defensemen, and a goaltender.
At the time of release all of these cards will be among the best in Hockey Ultimate Team. Each card upgrades throughout the remainder of the NHL 25 game cycle to match the highest overall of the of the player on the card.
