LIV Golf officially has its major broadcast deal.
The league announced Thursday that it had agreed to a multi-year media rights agreement with Fox Sports to broadcast LIV Golf events in 2025 and beyond. The agreement will bring live coverage to viewers in the United States for all three days of competition of every LIV Golf event.
The deal comes after LIV Golf announced Scott O’Neil as its new CEO on Wednesday. He takes over after Greg Norman led the league for its first three years and two official seasons.
More than half of LIV Golf’s schedule will air on Fox or FS1 in 2025. Select rounds will air on FS2, Fox Business Network and the Fox Sports App, with nearly all of the LIV Golf season’s 210 hours of competition carried live across Fox Sports platforms. All LIV Golf coverage will also be streamed on the Fox Sports App and to LIV Golf+ app subscribers.
Further details on the broadcast schedule will be released in the coming weeks, per a LIV Golf spokesperson.
“We are thrilled to partner with Fox Sports, one of the preeminent broadcast networks in the world,” LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil said in a release “LIV Golf is getting bigger and bolder, and this relationship signals the next phase of growth as our league joins the company of the nation’s premier sports leagues and conferences. I want to thank the Fox Sports team who share our vision for the future of golf, a new model that is redefining how the sport is experienced.
“LIV Golf is drawing a younger, more active and tech-savvy fan base, and as our players and teams prepare for LIV Golf’s biggest season yet, this agreement will take our broadcast to new heights.”
LIV Golf broadcasts will continue to be produced with its in-house team. Arlo White returns to lead play-by-play duties alongside analysts David Feherty and Jerry Foltz in the booth, while Dom Boulet and Su-Ann Heng will provide coverage on the course. “Fox Sports is excited to broadcast the LIV Golf League, showcasing athletes at the top of their game competing at an elite level for viewers across the nation,” Jordan Bazant, Executive Vice President of Fox Sports, said in a release. “The addition of LIV Golf is a natural fit for Fox Sports’ prominent slate of big events, world-class names and premium sports coverage.”
For the past two years, LIV Golf had a broadcast deal with The CW Network, which chose not to renew the agreement this offseason. Enter Fox Sports, which gets back into the golf world after backing out of its 12-year, nearly $1 billion agreement in 2020 to broadcast all USGA events.
