Coming in at 94 on the list was Cassidy. Now in his third season as the Golden Knights’ head coach, Cassidy has put together an impressive resume. He’s been to the Stanley Cup finals twice, once with the Boston Bruins where he fell short and once with the Golden Knights where he was triumphant. He’s won the Jack Adams Award for the best coach in the NHL and the Louis AR Pieri Award for the best coach in the AHL.
His work throughout his career has earned him the opportunity to be an assistant coach with Team Canada at the upcoming 4 Nations Face-Off.
“Cassidy is the president of the NHL Coaches’ Association’s executive committee, a member of Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off staff and a Stanley Cup winner who could quite possibly win another this year,” said The Hockey News.
Foley was higher up on the list, coming in at number 70. His work as the owner of the Golden Knights has been nothing short of spectacular. The arena, the hires and everything about hockey in Vegas has been done perfectly and a lot of that can be credited to Foley.
“In seven seasons, Foley’s dedication to building a fan-first and entertainment-driven product has made Vegas a model for even long-standing organizations. Truly an incredible feat,” wrote The Hockey News.
The Golden Knights are one, if not the best-run franchise in the NHL both on the ice and off the ice and their success is highlighted by Cassidy and Foley.
