With a fourth-quarter 3-pointer, Klay Thompson moved past Hall of Famer Reggie Miller and into fifth place on the all-time 3-pointers made list, with 2,561.
After the game, Thompson had nothing but praise for Miller, quote via Christian Clark at The Athletic.
“I loved Reggie Miller growing up,” Thompson said. “I watched his film and game-winners my whole life. He’s always inspired me to shoot the ball and be a killer. It’s just surreal. Talk about times I prayed for. I prayed for times like that.”
Thompson finished with 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting (4-of-10 from 3), but with Luka Doncic out the second half — and possibly much longer due to a calf strain — Dallas’ offense struggled against a top defense, and Minnesota won 105-99.
