It’s the big game of the Premier League weekend as 4th placed Arsenal host 2nd placed Liverpool at what is sure to be a bouncing Emirates Stadium (16:30pm GMT Kick-Off).
The Gunners were off the pace in last week’s surprising 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth and they will be without defensive lynchpin William Saliba after his sending-off last week on the South Coast. Arsenal fans will also be hoping that Bukayo Saka is available after picking up an injury on international duty, however the message from Mikel Arteta is that he is not expected to feature. Arsenal are undefeated at home so far this season and are undefeated in their past 4 meetings with Liverpool.
The Reds will be reliant on their defensive strength and with only 3 goals conceded so far this season, they are well clear in terms of having the best defensive record in the league. However, with first choice goalkeeper Alisson still missing, could Arsenal’s attacking weapons take advantage? Liverpool have won all their away league games this season and with game changers such as Mohammed Salah, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez available they will be confident of a return to the top of the table.
Sports Alert News Prediction: A highly entertaining 2-2 draw
